I think sunsets in Doha are among the things people remember
the most. The sun appears to be big, intensely bright, and orange. I tried
taking pictures of it many times, but my pictures never did justice to the view,
so this was my humble attempt to capture that wonder.

Originally trained as a graphic designer and had a
successful interior design business in London, South Korean-born Sae Mi Kim now
creates art and runs art workshops to share her passion for art.
Living in London means you never run out of inspiration, but
you always run out of time to do things. She missed drawing and painting while
leading a busy life in London. Moving to Doha with her husband gave her space
in her mind to start drawing and painting again.
Working in watercolor, ink, gouache, and pencils, Sae Mi
draws her inspiration from the nature and architecture of different cities.
Sae Mi currently lives and works in a studio a stone's throw
from a beautiful sandy beach in Doha. With views of the beach from her studio,
it is her haven and sanctuary, where she spends much of her time creating and
inspiring younger artists.
