Kristina Aladwan

  I’m based in Doha, and my artwork celebrates the capital city’s magnificent architecture and unique landscapes of Qatar. I love to spend time walking on Corniche and drawing and I’m inspired by the beauty of this place. I use oil colors and canvas to create my paintings and I combine the beauty of the modern architecture of Doha with the traditional beauty of old Qatari boats. In my opinion, it's very interesting to see the past and present of Qatar in the same picture. 

I started to paint in my early childhood, drawing and coloring were my favorite hobbies, and this passion for art has continued to grow over the years. I finished 6 years of arts school in my childhood from 1992-1998 in Russia. But originally, I studied HR Management at the University and worked for many years as an HR manager before I returned to the art subject again in 2015.

I am represented by several galleries in Qatar and my work about Qatar is collected worldwide (more than 30 countries). I am enjoying the process of creating my pictures. I take pride in my original style, which has evolved throughout the years.
