    Rajeesh Ravi

    Born in Calicut, Kerala, Rajeesh Ravi is an Indian visual artist whose work reflects a deep passion for painting and creative expression. After earning a degree in BSc Mathematics, he pursued his artistic training at the Kerala School of Fine Arts, Thalassery–Kannur, specializing in drawing and painting.

    In 2008, Rajeesh relocated to Qatar, a move that has greatly shaped his artistic journey. Over the past 16 years, he has continued to develop his practice, drawing inspiration from the region’s cultural richness and natural landscapes. His work often explores the interplay of light and emotion, capturing moments of stillness and movement within nature.

    Currently based at the Souq Waqif Art Center in Doha, Rajeesh has participated in numerous exhibitions and collaborative projects, engaging with both local and international art communities. He is an active member of several creative associations, including the Qatar Fine Art Association, International Artists Doha (IAD), and the Visual Artist Forum India (VAFI).

    Through his art, Rajeesh remains committed to fostering dialogue, sharing creativity, and bridging traditions between India, Qatar, and beyond.
