    Born in 1968, Hassan Bujassoum is a Qatari artist whose work reflects a deep engagement with culture, identity, and social commentary. His artistic journey began in 1984 at the Free Atelier, later joining the Fine Arts Department at the Doha Youth Center in 1986, where he exhibited his work for the first time. His debut painting was sold at the Youth Exhibition for the Gulf Cooperation Council Countries in Kuwait.

    A member of the Qatari Fine Arts Society from 1987 to 2000, Bujassoum participated in numerous exhibitions and workshops, both locally and internationally, throughout the 1980s and 1990s. His career includes notable participation in major events such as the Fine Arts Exhibition at the Fifth Doha Forum for Democracy and Free Trade (2005), the first Katara Symposium (2011), Mal Awal Exhibition (2012), the Royal Academy of Arts Exhibition in Katara (2012), and the Qatar International Fine Arts Exhibition at Mathaf Artists’ Residence (2018). He has also been active in public art events, including live drawing at Darb Al Saai and community engagement programs at Katara.

    Bujassoum’s work has received several awards, including First Prize for his painting at the Qatari Pavilion of the Milan Expo 2015, First Prize at the Telecommunications Exhibition in Switzerland (1988), and Third Prize in Qatar’s local cartoon competition (1996).

    With a career spanning over three decades, Hassan Bujassoum continues to contribute to Qatar’s artistic landscape through his expressive and culturally resonant works.
