Sheetal Dandekar

Sheetal Dandekar is an Indian visual artist whose practice reflects a deep emotional connection to the everyday and the natural world. For her, art is not only a form of expression but a mirror of the inner self—where thoughts, feelings, and experiences find their voice through color, form, and texture. Guided by intuition and inspired by the beauty of daily life and landscapes, her work invites viewers to engage directly with the emotions each piece evokes, without the need for explanation.

Working primarily with oil paints, watercolors, and acrylics, Sheetal explores themes of memory, observation, and emotional resonance. Each artwork stands as a personal reflection—an extension of her inner world shaped by experience, observation, and instinct.

She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drawing and Painting from Sir J.J. School of Art, Mumbai University (2000–2004), following an Art Foundation Course at the Indian Art Institute, Mumbai University (1997–1998). Since 2018, she has worked as a Host Artist at the Souq Waqif Art Center in Qatar, actively participating in exhibitions and artistic collaborations across the region, including World Art Dubai 2023. She is also a member of the Qatar Fine Art Society.

Continuously exploring new techniques and themes, Sheetal remains dedicated to sharing her vision through art—creating works that resonate across cultures and speak to the shared human experience.
